And just 5 week’s later, another new year will be celebrated. Chinese New Year in Cambodia is two weeks of celebrations, with the actual day in 2018 being February 16th. In Cambodia, nearly one million Cambodians of Chinese heritage actively celebrate the festival in the tradition of their ancestors. Although not one of the official holidays in Cambodia it is still one of the most celebrated events of the year and sees an estimated 60% of the Cambodian population partaking in the festivities.

Chinese New Year is all about family so many people will return to their birthplace in the countryside. But all over Siem Reap, and especially on Pub Street, visitors will experience the Year of the Dog among thousands from all over the world.

Most visitors will also visit Angkor Park and the luckiest visitors will experience the only zipline eco-adventure inside the Park – Angkor Zipline
